ANA — I caught a glimpse of her only once. I couldn't believe my eyes. There she was, relaxing quietly and alone (alone? I couldn't believe that either) in The Russian TeaRoom in Chicago. It was November, 3 PM and I was between appointments. I guess she was too.
Beautiful, I thought. Porcelain like, I thought. So distinguished and noble; flawless in her thick wool shawl and crowning chapeau. She read from her book. The waiters couldn't keep their eyes off her ... I was lucky to place my order. The entire room watched her every movement, enchanted by her presence. Gentleman smiled and whispered... What must that be like I thought?
