The Little Black Dress
Initiative (LBDI) is a poverty awareness campaign that
aligns with the Junior League of Birmingham, Michigan,
Inc's efforts to end the cycle of poverty affecting the
lives of women and the children in the community.
The LBD Brunch
kicks off a week of raising awareness for women in need.
Junior League Birmingham volunteers that would like to
be "all in" on the LBDI effort can highlight
this issue by wearing a black dress each day the week
of 3/27 through 3/31, and post on social media using the
hashtag #jlbham

Do you know that personal hygiene items
cannot be bought with food assistance benefits (SNAP)?
This month, the Birmingham Junior League is standing
in solidarity with women and children in our community
through the LITTLE BLACK DRESS INITIAVE : Brunch on
3/25/17 and a personal hygiene item drive with Lighthouse
of Oakland County.
Help Lighthouse keep local families healthy with donated
personal hygiene items. Donations can be dropped off
at the 3/25 Brunch during Membership meetings and at
the Junior League of Birmingham House.
